The cobia (Rachycentron canadum) is a carnivorous marine fish that can reach a maximum size of 6 feet (183 cm) and 150 pounds (68 kg). This fish is widespread from the Indo-Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean to the south. Cobia has a broad head, its body shape is almost like a shark and popular among sport anglers worldwide. Cobia known as food fish in China and Taiwan were also cultivated by the United States. Cobia are white, strong texture flesh and mild flavor.
